Heidi Nagtegaal and Mireille Rosner

In residence: 2021

While at Coppermoss, Heidi and Mirelle explored collaborations including Sweeping. Stemming from embodiment practices that seek release and flow, Sweeping melts the upright Catholic and domestic body of Mireille’s maternal line as she invites her spine to curl forward and connect to inner currents, offering a deeper connection to the earth. www.mireillerosner.ca/sweeping-1

Heidi is a visual artist and director of the Hammock Residency. She lives and works in Vancouver, BC, Canada. www.instagram.com/heidinagtegaal/

Mireille Rosner creates performances weaving somatic and ritual transformation in relationship to objects and nature. She is compelled to think with her body, to move as a way of being in the world, and to root creative expression in who she is and where she comes from. Her work seeks ways to be on the earth in fluid alignment, without staking claim.  www.mireillerosner.ca
